At the Council  meeting tonight, Randwick City Councillors will be considering the future of the old Kensington Bowling Club site, in Kensington Park. This follows extensive community consultation held earlier this year in which we saw more than 700 residents participate in online surveys, forums, workshops, submissions and petitions.
Light rail development agreement to be discussed at Extraordinary Council Meeting
Randwick City Council will hold an Extraordinary Council Meeting on Tuesday 29 July 2014 to discuss a Light Rail Development Agreement with Transport for NSW. Council considered this matter at its meeting on Tuesday 22 July 2014 but voted to defer it to allow Councillors to consider further information received on this matter.
Council to build new community centre in Kensington
Randwick City Council will build a new community centre in Kensington on the site of the former Kensington Bowling Club, Randwick Mayor Scott Nash announced today.
Beach Breaks Carnival returns to Maroubra this Sunday
Randwick City Council’s annual Beach Breaks Carnival at Maroubra Beach is set to return this Sunday, 27 July from 12pm and will feature and array of family fun entertainment, live music and the unveiling of 2014’s inductees into the ‘Australian Surfing Walk of Fame’.
Council backs Better Block 2014
Clovelly Road will be transformed into a pedestrian-friendly, green oasis on Sunday 19 October 2014 as part of the community-run Clovelly Better Block project.
CBD & South East light rail development agreement update
Randwick Mayor Scott Nash has today confirmed that Minister for Transport, Gladys Berejiklian, has agreed to include the Kingsford Market site in the Development Agreement with Randwick Council, achieving a key feature of the Council's Light Rail support plan.
