Randwick Council is looking to make Muraborah Reserve, located on Wride and Duncan Streets in Maroubra, an official off-leash dog area—and we want to hear your thoughts!

This proposal is part of our ongoing commitment to creating more welcoming spaces for the entire community, including our furry friends.

With 16 off-leash parks already across Randwick City, we know how important dogs are to people’s lives. They help reduce social isolation, build connections, and encourage healthy lifestyles. As our community grows, it’s vital to provide safe spaces for pet owners, especially those living in smaller homes and apartments, to exercise their dogs.

Some locals are already enjoying Muraborah Reserve for informal off-leash play, so we're proposing to make it official! If the proposal is approved, we’ll add dog waste stations, more bins, pedestrian gates, and new signage.

Remember, off-leash doesn’t mean exclusive—Muraborah Reserve will remain a shared space for everyone to enjoy. We’d love to hear your thoughts on this exciting proposal at Your Say Randwick.
