Celebrate Beach Breaks with us!

The event will be held on Sunday 21 July, at Maroubra Beach from 11am to 4pm.

Beach Breaks is a free community event that celebrates the proud and colourful surfing history and culture of Maroubra Beach.

Located at Maroubra Beach Promenade (near the Cr of McKeon Street and Marine Parade) and McKeon St Plaza.

Enjoy live music, stalls, food, entertainment, kids activities and much more throughout the day.

Event Program

There will be two stages with live music from 11am - 4pm.

The Main Stage is located on Maroubra Beach Promenade near the Cr of McKeon Street and Marine Parade and the McKeon St Stage is located within the McKeon St Plaza.

There will be roving entertainment and children's activities on the day including face painting, giant bubbles, a mechanical surfboard, stilt walkers, giant seagulls, beach and garden games, beach volleyball and a special appearance from Larry the Lifeguard.

Australian Surfing Walk of Fame 2024

The Australian Surfing Walk of Fame is a presentation that takes place at 1pm during our Beach Breaks event, where the achievements and dedication of local surfers and surf lifesavers will be recognised.

Head on over to the main stage at 1pm to see who will be inducted this year.

Southern Beaches Boardriders Storm

Southern Beaches Boardriders Storm, is a new surfing teams event that incorporates boardriders teams from Bondi through to La Perouse with divisions Under 12’s, Under 16’s, Under 18’s, Under 20’s, Open Men’s and Open Women’s.
