1 pm - 2 pm

Location
Lionel Bowen Library, Maroubra
Address
669-673 Anzac Parade, Maroubra

Join Christine Yeats as she discusses some of the crimes, misdemeanours and the downright amazing that are part of the history of the Randwick Municipality.

If you look closely at the history of any town, suburb or local community, there are sure to be tales from the darker side where crime and punishment have gone hand in hand for decades. In this presentation, we will discover how larrikinism, sly groggers, gruesome confessions, the Shark Arm case, the exploits of Tilly Devine, the 1949 Case of the Bloodstained Glass, and Thallium as a murder weapon are all part of our rich past.

This joint talk is held by Cape Banks Family History Society Inc. and Randwick City Library.
